Analog 2points calibration lost after power reset

#1 Post by Patou » 05 Jan 2025, 15:58

Hello,
Best wishes for the new year and thanks again for this good support.
On Esp32C3 with build : ESP_Easy_mega_20240822_normal_ESP32_4M316k_LittleFS_ETH, The 2 point calibration is not applied after a power reboot.
I need to edit the task and submit again so that the 2 point calbration is again active.
Please check this little bug when you have time.

Are you sure the settings are being saved?
Just as a simple test, can you add some sysinfo task and then reboot to see if it is still added.

And just to be sure, you're not trying to set the calibration values at boot using rules?

Are the settings still available when saving them, going back to the Devices list, then entering the settings page again?

What's the available space on the file system? (Data available at the bottom of the Tools/Info page: "Little FS Size", xxx kB free)

Hmm what is stored on the file system?
You only have 144k free, which is a bit small given the settings file is 128k and with LittleFS it is writing the entire file. (which is the reason why LittleFS is so much less snappy compared to SPIFFS)

Hello,
I Updated the firmware by OTA and put the bin

Code: Select all

ESP_Easy_mega_20241222_climate_ESP32_4M316k
The problem stays.
I need to submit the task even without changing nothing to activate the calibration with 2 points . The task come always back to standard calibration
The storage info is as follow :

Can you backup the files using the backup feature on the tools page?
This will download a .tar file. Make sure the browser actually downloads it as for example Chrome will always prompt you whether you want to 'keep' it and will not actually download it if you don't press the 'keep' button in that prompt field.

After downloading the backup, can you do a factory reset and restore the backup by uploading the tar file?

I suspect there is something wrong with your file system.

If that doesn't fix it, can you send me this tar file?
N.B. it does contain any passwords you have set, so better not attach it here to a post but rather send it to me directly.

Hello,
I saved the config, I did a factory reset and reload the tar file. => Same behaviour, 2 point calibration needs a task submit to be active.
I send you the config.tar file by private message.
Thanks in advance to spend time on the analyse.
