Hi,
My landlord just installed new blinds in my appartement.
The remote that goes with it is a Somfy Situo 1 Io Pure II. It is this device:
https://www.somfy.ch/fr-ch/produits/187 ... io-pure-ii
I can see on this page that it communicates over 868 MHz.
The blinds brand itself is STOBAG, but there is no model name on it. It must be on the motor inside, that I can't disassemble.
I have already a RFlink 868 MHz kit, that I bought for other blinds before discovering that it was Elero protocol that is too closed and not compatible with any RFlink device (I made a post about it viewtopic.php?t=10008 ).
Now, I am trying to find what it would require to control my new blinds with this new remote. I wonder if the RFlink 868 that I never used yet could be what I need. I am reading about controlling Somfy devices with RFlink to connect them to Home Assistant, and I found that most people are using a special 433.42 MHz transceiver. But my remote says 868 MHz so I don't know which one I require. I would have the following questions :
1. What is the best way to connect those new blinds to Home Assistant ? Is RFlink the best way ?
2. Is my unused 868 MHz RFlink compatible ?
3. Do I have to order a new RFlink transceiver ?
4. How can I check if my current RFlink is compatible ? I tried to follow https://github.com/filipmaelbrancke/ha-rflink-rts, but I couldn't see anything appearing. I don't know if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance for your help, have a nice day.

Hi,
I don't know if this is possible with your RFLink because the SOMFY IO protocol is very well protected.
If you want to control your SOMFY IO blinds via Home Assistant, I recommend the Tahoma or, much less expensive (but still worth the price
), the Somfy connectivity kit.
Otherwise, there's the much less practical solution of soldering wires to the remote control buttons to control them via relays.

It looks like your RFlink 868 MHz module might not be the right fit for Somfy IO, since their protocol is encrypted and not officially supported. The easiest and most reliable way to connect your blinds to Home Assistant would be using a Somfy TaHoma or Connexoon hub, as they’re designed to work with IO devices. You can still try using RFlinkLoader to see if your RFlink picks up any signals when pressing the remote, but if nothing shows up, it’s probably not compatible. Some DIY solutions with ESPHome exist, but IO is tricky compared to older RTS models. If you’re looking for a hassle-free setup, a Somfy hub is your best bet.

Thanks a lot for your answer !
I searched on a used items website (Leboncoin) and found that a lot of people are selling both Somfy Tahoma Switch https://www.somfy.ch/fr-ch/produits/187 ... oma-switch and Somfy Connectivity Kit https://www.somfy.ch/fr-ch/produits/187 ... tivity-kit.
I also find a lot of people selling this https://www.somfy.ch/fr-ch/produits/240 ... ma-premium
It is apparently obsolete according to Somfy (I guess it has been replaced by the Tahoma Switch). But it is available at a much lower price than the expensive new Tahoma Switch.
Do you think it could work with my Io blinds ? According to its page, it supports the Io protocol. Do I have a way to ensure that ? Is there different versions of the Io protocol ?
Thanks in advance for any answer, have a nice day.

Take the connectivity kit that works wonderfully with all Somfy protocols such as RTS and IO.
It's easy to set up and everything is detected.
Compatible with HomeKit etc...
I have it myself.

Re: Somfy Situo 1 Io Pure II and RFLink 868MHz
I can get the "obsolete" kit for a third of the price of the Connectivity Kit. Plus this is for a single blind, I don't have any other Somfy devices. I would get the Connectivity Kit only if the "obsolete" one is not compatible.
According to this https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/overkiz, local API commands are available with the Premium Io Gateway but not with the Connectivity Kit. That is a big advantage for me, I prefer to avoid having it to connect with the cloud.

The Tahoma is very good, it is superior but more expensive than the connectivity kit because it can control all Somfy devices such as blinds, lighting, velux etc... if you find it used for less, go for it
