Ir transmit question

#1 Post by remb0 » 07 Sep 2016, 19:07

I have an nodemcu and connected a receiver en ir led.
receiver works!
in esp i got: IR : Code 8a0b2149 (but no protocol or bit)
and the text virtual sensor in domoticz got: 2315985225

No I will send this same signal from domoticz to my esp (so my vacuum robot starts)

but i'm lost. I have connected the IR led to gpio9.
I choose Ir transmit and gI must gave the domoticz switch.

But which type? and How can I gave the same command to my esp?

http://192.168.0.xxx/control?cmd=IRSEND,8a0b2149
every combi gave me: Unknown or restricted command!

I did a quick search on IRSEND and it appears it may need a brand / protocol.

It may have changed, but read the whole thread, there are also issues with power output from the ESP.

It might also be better to post questions on this topic in the same thread as people tend to subscribe to topics they are interested in..

I meant it is not realistic to put them all in a ESP plugin.

A IR plugin which can send most protocols can be made if code's are given in HEX. On Github I see a IR library which about 15 different protocols.
Even a learning part to copy the codes from your remote is realistic.
Maybe someone is going to write this plugin.
I have written the plugin and am using it. Only supports the named protocols, not raw mode at the moment..
