Hello From Auckland

#1 Post by bigal » 17 Mar 2016, 21:16

My name is Allan, I live in Auckland, New Zealand.
Since 2003 I have been writing in Microchip assembly.
I have only been "hacking" in C for a couple of years.
Since 2011 I have been doing some volunteer work with Safecast on Radiation Isotope detection, identification and Monitoring. I was based in Japan for 26 years until recently, and helped design and setup of fixed radiation sensors using primarily Arduino.
I also built a wireless node network with Microchip 12F683 using ultra low battery drain on 434Mhz and 315Mhz bands.
I have developed sensor nodes to measure:
radiation
pH
EC
Temperature
Humidity
Soil Moisture
Tank Level
Watering
Power and water metering

Currently I am working on a very low cost but super accurate Utility Power transmitter using the Microchip MCP3911 hopefully with a ESP8266 module.
