SOLVED: Wemos D1 and DHT22 high values - formula needed?

#1 Post by tozett » 18 Apr 2016, 14:32

i thought it could be easier, but...
i am running v101 on my new wemos d1 with the DHT22 board on.
i found out, that the wemos D4 is the Gpio2 on the ESPeasy and configured that.
but now i have strange high values for humidity and temperature.

Code: Select all

ip:192.168.14.132,mask:255.255.255.0,gw:192.168.14.236
WD : Uptime 190 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 26936
UDP : Send Sysinfo message
DHT : Temperature: 614.40
DHT : Humidity: 486.40
{"idx":22,"nvalue":0,"svalue":"614.40;486.40;0"}
WD : Uptime 191 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 26936
UDP : Send Sysinfo message
WD : Uptime 191 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 26936
UDP : Send Sysinfo message
the forum search discovered only nan-reading problems.

do i need a formula? there is directly an option, but what to put in?

i checked this library:
https://github.com/adafruit/DHT-sensor- ... er/DHT.cpp
but i dont know, if i need i forumla or i have somekind of brainbug?

every thanks for every help,.

Hi,
i use also a wemos mini v1 - the same port D4/gpio2(10k Pull-up) without resistors and a dht22..
and everything is ok!

on lastest version 101?
something broken inbetween?
dont know where to search the issue, i assumed it would be running out of the box.
wemos is more stable than my core esp-modules.. :P

SOLVED! i am stupid, the DHT 22 was an DHT 11

you pointed my in the right direction,

i looked up the shields in the wiki
http://www.esp8266.nu/index.php/HumiditySensor
(a pity, no hint to differentiate both from another...)

an than on wemos site
http://www.wemos.cc/Products/mini_shields.html

i discovered that my DHT is BLUE, while the DHT on the PRO-Shield is white,
the blue one is a DHT 11, the white one is a DHT 22.
i was stupid and mixed them up in my setup, now changed it on my both wemos to the right one on the shield, the blue one DHT11,

and now got reasonable values. everythin ok.

thanks a lot for speaking to me...

maybe the wiki could help others?
i have slightly higher temperatures, than measured with my other sensors.
but thats +/- 2 degrees for the blue DHT-11

i should have gone with +/- 0,5 with white DHT-22
and negative temperatures for -40 degrees... :)
