ESP8266 512kb and i2c

#1 Post by alexsh1 » 08 Jun 2016, 16:04

Hi all,

I am experiencing a strange issue.
I managed to flash my module OK, but as soon as I connect the i2c device (BV1750), I receive the following message:

Code: Select all

 ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:4, boot mode:(3,6)

wdt reset
load 0x4010f000, len 1264, room 16
tail 0
chksum 0x42
csum 0x42
~ld

SDA and SDL are GPIO0 and GPIO2 (do not have any other).

Wifi and commands are not working and I have to re-flash the ESP8266 again.
Anyone has got any suggestions please?

Additionally, I do get these from time to time:

Code: Select all

If the issue occurs while you connect an external device it is most often power related. Secondly make sure that you are connecting the external i2c device correctly.

For tips regarding the stability of the power of the esp see this blog: https://hackaday.io/project/4493-buildi ... he-esp8266

Please take note of
1. Power supply. Most people say ....
