PulseCounter - what counts? what is time? how to reset to zero?

#1 Post by tozett » 23 Jul 2016, 15:01

hi,
i tried pulseocounter today. it looks slight different in r111 than in the wiki.
i cannot see clearly, what the counter counts?
if i set a gpio for counting, can there be more values than 0/1 ?
i guess, that could only be the case, if there is a timespan in which the gpio is counted multiple times?
how do i set the timediff for counting? (this is not the de-bounce time, isnt it?)

if there was no idx-value set, the count and total were the same. is this a bug?

on the devicepage shows up a time-value. what is this?
i looked into source and i assume, that is the time in millis() since last count-trigger. right?
would seks or a configure-option for millis/seks/hrs/day a good improvement?
also a reset-point (it could be done with rules, but would be more logic in the counter, wouldn it?)

can anybody please confirm/correct my assumption?
thanks lot
