Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
You need solder wire to gpio 0 in order to enter in flash mode and setup as esp8265 (I don't remember exactly but it is not a esp8266)
Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Ok but that's the only difference?ayasystems wrote:You need solder wire to gpio 0 in order to enter in flash mode and setup as esp8265 (I don't remember exactly but it is not a esp8266)

Nothing else. Works very fine!
Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Good to know - I'm considering to install a few of them. Being integrated and working "like normal" has a huge WAF factor in our houseayasystems wrote:Nothing else. Works very fine!

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Two switch to operate one line. In two diferent points of the room...
Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Ahh ok - I guess that could be handled by the software by setting a rule for Switch1 to trigger Switch2?ayasystems wrote:Two switch to operate one line. In two diferent points of the room...
But good to know - I only have that setup in one room in my house

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Hi Guys,
I've been looking at these since they came out, but I live in the UK and we don't have Live and Neutral in the wall switch socket. Has anyone found a way to run these in the UK?
Regards
andrew

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
I have tried to flash R120 to a touch. All seems to go fine, but when I reboot I don't ever see the AP to connect to.ayasystems wrote:Nothing else. Works very fine!
Any suggestions? I have tried both 512 and 1024. I kept gpio 0 low during boot and all appears like I have had good results with on the basic sonoff modules.
Thanks for the help,
Ryan

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Did you flash a compiled download version?
Touch is not a esp8266...you need to flash with the source code as esp8265.

Oh thank you. I just used the same compiled download version of R120 I used for the sonoff relay. I thought the only difference was the onboard memory. I will give compiling a try.
It worked.
Thanks again for the quick reply,
Ryan
Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
chip is actually a esp8285, it is like a esp8266with 1mb flash integrated (on chip). usually has an ipex connector. has slightly better deep sleep consumption
Domoticz on Raspi 2 -- 14 ESP units (hacked Sonoff,NodeMCUs, Wemos, self-built units) running with RC140- Mega 2.0.0 dev8

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
I found a 2 gang sonoff touch "look-a-like". It works the same with the ewelink app and it is based on the PSB-B04-GL. On the itead support site I can find the pin-out for this module. However I am not able to find the rx/tx pins to flash espeasy (or anything else) on it.
I found this module is used in other applications as well like the usb 5v, 4 ch. relay.
Anyone know how to connect tx/rx and pull GPIO 0 LOW?

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
If someone has the correct esp8285 platformio.ini environment settings for me, I could add it to our travs-script.
That way there will be also an automated firmware.bin release for the esp8285 from now on. (saves a lot of people a lot of compile-hassel)

The box is labelled Tantech: http://tantech.taobao.comxbmcnut wrote:Can you provide a link to the hardware?drbrains wrote:I found a 2 gang sonoff touch "look-a-like"
However, I got it from the Itead webstore on Taobao. Those are non-branded. I got them flashed and working (see my other post)
Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Thanks for that. You flashed them with Espurna though? I just tried over the weekend but had to jump through hoops under Windows with Platformio to get a Wemos flashed (five different Windows programs required). Certainly a long way from being as easy as ESPEasy, my go to firmware.drbrains wrote:I got them flashed and working (see my other post)

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
Yes, I did flash with ESPurna cause ESPEasy does not support the extra SIL F330 chip between the switch and relay and the serial port on the ESP8266ex. Maybe someone could write a plugin like the ser2net one to talk with the F330. However since it is a wall switch in the end, all I needed was a way to talk to it without the e-we link cloud and use my own MQTT broker with Domoticz.
I am slowly replacing my older 433mhz switches which don't provide feedback when switched manually On/Off with a Wifi (esp) version. I am using ESP Easy on the SonOff S20.

Thanks! Good to know. I would get some of those if they sold the multi socket version like the one on https://world.taobao.com/item/527467680727.htm#detaildrbrains wrote:I am using ESP Easy on the SonOff S20.

Re: SONOFF TOUCH - Did you see it?
These sonoff touches suddenly make it very interesting to automate switches due to the low cost!
Personally however, I don't like very much the look of the face plate. Can somebody comment wether it is easy to replace the face plate, e.g. with one of Livolo?
