ESP-01 Problem

Hello every one.

Sorry for my english, and greetings from Poland

Im working on ESP-01 1024kB with build 120 of Easy ESP.

Till i was working only with 2 ds18b20 everything was great.
Now I add relay. And start using

For on and off.
After I started using the realey my ESP somtimes is hanging. Or just after reboot - the red and blue diode is still on, ESP is not responding at all. After that I have to erase the momory and put firmware from begining.

What can be wrong?

If I'm using relay should I add some device in settings?
I didnt found relay on list but without settings its working just with http command.

Hi,

to send an order to a relay, you don't need any device. The http://... you use is sufficient.

Look at your power supply. When relay activates, it may produce some glitches on the supply rails, hanging the ESP unit.
If you did it by yourself (not a already-made relay board) don't forget to put a diode in (opposite) parallel with the relay coil, to protect against high voltage spikes when switching the coil.

Another good idea is to add a large (470µF +) capacitor between GND and +3.3V, as closest as possible to the ESP module.

First time when its happened ESP was blinking blue led like heatbeat. Now Its stedy sight from blue and red led.
And now It hang not during swiching but after reboot. Before this, few time when I sent command to close reley it was closed.... and after few minutes it open itself.

Try to use Gpio 3 (RX) to drive the relay, Gpios 0 and 2 gives unwanted pulse at starup firing the relay ON.

The blue and red leds on is a power issue, try using another power supply, I have followed all the advices given in this link http://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/index.php/Power

It was still not blue and red till i cleaned the flash and put firmware from begining. I will try now with GPIO3

ON GPIO03 sometimes turning swich on after click in browser is taking about 10sec.

And if i turn off power douring the "Thinking about turn on/of" its dying :/
