Can not connect to ESPeasy unit anymore

#1 Post by MaikelK » 20 Jun 2017, 20:06

Hello,

I got a few NodeMCU v1.0 boards, ESP-12E.

I now had two units not being able to acces the webinterface anymore, but they where visible in my router DHCP list and one unit was still sending his data.
They have fixed IP-addresses so these aren't changed.

Can anybody explain me whats going on?

If you need anymore information, just let me know.

If you cannot access I am not sure there's any way beside "guessing" :D
it happened I think to everyone in this forum, but as far as it's just a glitch you won't be able to understand; if the issues will repeat with a high frequency then you can try to troubleshoot.
As it is now my only suggestion is to reset one of them, if it comes back as normal then do the same with the other

I have powercycled one module several times already. Still no go...
Maybe leave it off for a day will help?

Does anyone know if it's possible to let Domoticz check if the unit is still alive and kicking?

It looks like you're another victim of famous intermittent problem #15.
Please, add your voice in that thread. Maybe, sooner or later they will fix the issue...

If you search for WiFi do you see an ESP-0 SSID? Then your ESP lost the WiFi connection.
Sometimes the ESP is allright and the WiFi accesspoint/router should be restarted.

If possible connect the serial port of the ESP (Or the USB port if using a nodeMCU/WeMOS) to a pc or laptop.
Use a serial monitoring program to see what the ESP says on booting.
(Remember: Serial with ESPEasy runs on 115.200 Bit/s).
