Sorry for the- probably- out-of-topic post. I tried to sign up to the Wiki to raise this concern in Talk, but was stonewalled with a "Fatal exception of type "Error"", and the forums appear to be the only other way to contact the relevant maintainers and there's no General category better suited.
I've found a number of places online - including a GitHub comment made by one of our customers - referring to the PMS5003 as having a lifespan of 8000 hours. All references to this number seem to trace back to a WiKi update on the PMSx003 page (https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/inde ... le=PMSx003) but no citation or reference is given to back up this number.
A glance over the PMS5003 datasheet (https://www.aqmd.gov/docs/default-sourc ... l_v2-3.pdf) reveals a MTTF of >=3 years, which is 25,000+ hours.
A citation or correction would be helpful here, since this figure is either misleading, or something we should be more clearly communicating to customers.
Thank you!
(Edit: Looks like the edit was made by @Shardan in January 2018 if it helps - https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/inde ... oldid=3880)
