tried to say all in the subjekt:

i am looking for good Power-Supply solutions for the small ESP,
if you distribute 15 pieces around the house.

should be small, sleek, maybe conform with the local regulaties, not too hot to burn down the house, ....

(at the moment i am testing with a breadboard power-supply to an ESP12,
where the am1117 DC-DC converter get very,very hot. not the best to put it in the wall)

The MCP1702 used in JeeNodes and other circuits here at JeeLabs is a nifty little voltage regulator. It’s not particularly good for high voltages (limited to about 13V), but it has a very low idle current

Look at wemos mini d1 : this is an esp board on the same seize of an SD Card, working on 5v true USB, lot of gpio aviable, all inside and got a 5v output direct from USB plug.

i orderd some yesterday. How much current max on the 5v can they take, do you now?

i don't know... as it looks like to be direct connect to the USB line, can expect thas this delivery the same as usb input.

I have orderered these power-suppliers:PowerSupply and then I want to go down to 3.3V with those: DCDC.

The power-supply was tested once from a danish expert: Expert.

But, all in all this comes up to 3€ per power supply. Thats far away from the 1€ supply that tozett mentioned.

hey, this looks good. i think i will give this also a try.

the 1 EUR was not meant so straight literally, any small EUR will do..

I use the HLK for a while now and so far so good.
I just put a MOV across it, with a fuse.

Why should you not buy the 3.3v version? I have a couple of those, working great, no step down required.

to have 5V for the ws2812b LED...?
but not always needed..

Mine took just a week for delivery

maybe the PSU is only one part of a suitable complete "sensor-module",
this PCB layout seems also nice, compact and "suitable" for an good psu...
