Greetings from Seattle - Working on firmware for a weather station

Hi all,
I stumbled across this forum while searching for ways to self-report supply voltage and current for a weather station I'm working on (have been for a long time). I acquired a MetOne weather station some time ago and it has been a learning experience since the original MCU I was trying to use was an 8051! The plan is to have the station, based on a Wemos D1 Mini, send JSON (ArduinoJsaon) formatted reports via MQTT to a Raspberry Pi running Node-RED. It will be powered by a LiPo battery (solar charged), and the charge monitored by an INA219. So, user dynamicdave said he's using a NRF24L01 link to the master system, and I'm wondering if he's using MQTT. (I would ask him but I'm too new to this forum.) Anybody else out there using MQTT reporting with NRF24L01's? Thanks!
