I have created this video of the ZMLink light bulb being flashed with ESPEasy. This bulb was designed by AI and is sold under different brand names. It uses a MY9291 RGBW LED driver to take signals from the ESP8266 micro. The ZMLink version of the device I purchased features 4K flash.
I have added my MY9291 to the Add on playground and requested a small change to the ESPEasy Mega firmware to make this work. In the meanwhile I have a pre-compiled bin available for the bulb if anyone wants to attempt this hack.

I like those bulbs but... it's only me thinking they are freaking expensive?

Re: ZMLink (AI Light) ESPEasy RGBW Bulb
The seller I got them from has put up the UK price. £45 is way too much. $25 in the US is fairer
But shop around on them, The design was originally by Ai Thinker. They have licensed the design to other companies, so the same product is sold elsewhere. I am willing to bet that there will be variations in the amount of flash installed on different manufacturers products, There is also some bulbs out there with differently branded ESP8266 chips (though they are legit)
Searching amazon for rgbw wifi produces lots of similar looking bulbs around the £20-£25 mark. In the comments people are saying that they work with Jinvoo Smart android apps. This bulb worked with that app also. Some are clearly in the same body, others in a different style. I guess its a risk when you buy, but I would imagine that many if not all will be either on exactly the same pcb or someone will have used the open sourced design to make their own pcb.

Re: ZMLink (AI Light) ESPEasy RGBW Bulb
I wonder - what would it take to get this plugin moved into the nightly release ?
https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEas ... MY9291.ino
Here: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEasy/releases
Happy to help test etc.
Thanks
Mark
EDIT: Just seen this:
" When found stable enought, the maintainer (and only him) will choose to move it to TESTING or STABLE"
Can we move it to testing !?
