Rotary Switch doesn‘t count

#1 Post by olem_de » 03 Nov 2017, 21:46

Hello
I have a problem with the rotary switch:it does not count !
I have connected the two outer pins of the switch (Not a shield with pwr and gnd) to the gpio‘s,configured them ...but no counting at all. Do i have to connect the pins via a resistier to Vcc?
Thx if someone has a hint or workaround .

Ole

A picture or two of your setup would help. Have you rebooted the ESP after the configuration is done (just to be sure)?

What about the rotary encoder? Possible to have a picture/name of it?

And:
Do not use GPIO 16 for this plugin, it will not work properly.

Do you need it to be reset by the use of "I"? You can at least try without it.

Great, let's try without the gpio 16 first.
