Re: need help with OTA update
The "main" page when you connect to it should tell you which version, in the build line. Sure enough. 147. Switching to ESPHome bc I use Home Assistant and I've been using it with other projects - it just integrates soooo nicely. Just wish there was a way to flash it to a super tiny build...

need help with OTA update
Hello - I have one of the Eco Plugs that were popular awhile back. I'm running (I think R147 - but I'm honestly not sure how to tell, I flashed it over a year ago). I'm trying to upgrade the firmware and I'd REALLY prefer not to crack the case back open because it was a pain in the rear. I navigated...

Re: button switches light off but then it turns right back on
I don't know the answer to your question (I just followed an online tutorial a couple years ago and it told me to do that), BUT I realized I hadn't compared *those* settings to the other plugs I have, and sure enough, it's different. I fixed it by checking Inversed and changed Switch Button Type to ...

Re: button switches light off but then it turns right back on
Sorry for the delay.
See attached.
The thing that gets me is that the other switches are configured exactly the same, but operate differently.
Thanks!

[SOLVED] button switches light off but then it turns right back on
I have one of these: https://www.walmart.com/ip/ECO-ID-Wi-Fi-Outlet/164169458 and it's been working great. In fact I have about 10 of them. All with the same settings. Typically you can walk up to one, click the button, and it'll switch states. But lately it switches states, and then SWITCHES BACK t...

Re: Sonoff slow to cold boot - 30 seconds til "boot state" set. No delay set.
Thanks for the idea - I'll try that when I get another stab at it. It's frustrating that something so trivial as having an IP would interrupt the normal boot process and GPIO settings! Is this a bug or a feature?

Re: Sonoff slow to cold boot - 30 seconds til "boot state" set. No delay set.
To answer the likely questions:
--Cold boot time matters to me because the switch is in series with the physical switch which is used daily.
--It has to be in series because I have no other options.
Thanks!

Sonoff slow to cold boot - 30 seconds til "boot state" set. No delay set.
Hello all! I recently flashed 2 Sonoff units with ESPEasy R147_RC8 (the version I've been using successfully with a few other cheap Walmart plugs). I set the desired GPIO pins to be HIGH at boot time. When I warm boot (reboot from the menu) the light responds as expected (turns on fairly quickly aft...

It'll reflash but just didn't like doing it over WiFi.

Thanks, but nah - after 2 weeks it hasn't showed up on multiple iPhones and computers. It's dead, Jim.

OTA Firmware update failed - what did I do wrong?
Hello! I have one of these "Eco" wifi plugs that I was able to flash with ESPEasy via USB TTL device. I used R120 and decided that I wanted to instead upgrade it to the latest available, R147. I checked the Main page which stated that I had Flash size: 1024 kB. So I loaded the new firmware...
