The green LED is physically connected together with the relay to GPIO12. So remove the LED or put something black over it.

The new MQTT binding (https://www.openhab.org/blog/2018-12-16-mqtt-arrives-in-the-modern-openhab-2-x-architecture.html) in openHAB brings the possibility of auto-discovery, increased stability and many other things. Having had a huge 1-wire network, I learned the hard way, that 1-wire is not designed for long cable-runs, thus one should use twisted-pair cables, minimize number of connectors and avoid running 1w cables in parallel with mains cables.

I'm running Mosquitto on a virtual Windows 10 PC together with Openhab. You could try using a MQTT client on your own PC and listen to the same topics as your ESP8266 device. Then you'll get an idea of where the delay is. You can also publish from most clients (Use https://mqttfx.jensd.de/ myself). ...

An option to define 'fallback' would be even greater. I have no use for AP mode, as all ESP devices are controlled by openhab/MQTT, so if my Wi-Fi goes down, I'd prefer espeasy to try and reconnect continuously. Maybe if the AP passphrase is left empty, then AP fallback mode is disabled, if it's fil...
