WeMOS_D1_Pro has a connector for an external antenna, which seems a real bonus to get max. range.
Anyone with a proven idea how to make a simple upgrade for the 'original'/existing WeMOS_D1 to connect an external antenna?

Re: WeMOS D1 vs Pro
Thanks for the hint to the URL: german text is no problem.
Considering the cost, effort & risc, perhaps easier to purchase WeMOS_D1_Pro for those spot (s) with weak wifi coverage, and apply the original WeMOS_D1s for other jobs closer to the WAP(s). Or (as alternative) relocate the WAP(s) and/or repeater(s) to a better position relative to the WeMOS_D1s (and other ESP_NodeMCUs).
Invitation for experiments ..........
