PCA9685 and positive PWM

#1 Post by Lukeq » 12 Dec 2016, 12:54

Hi there

First, thanks for that cool infrastructure Project!
I have at the moment several devices running ESPeasy. Unfortunately I'm struggling with one of them.
My problem is, that I can't drive a NPN transistor thru the PWM channel with the PCA9685. If I use a LED, it works like in the datasheet, see attachment, Figure 15. So I assume the PWM output of the driver is inverted, like in the datasheet https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/PCA9685.pdf
But I want to have Figure 13. In the Plugin 22 sketch, InverseLogicOption = false does nothing. If I configure it as true, still the same issue.
So I think I need the OUTDRV bit, but didn't found a configure value.

Can someone advice or point me to a different circuit?

Thanks!

Luke
