esp easy update funtion question

So last night I updated all my modules except a few to r147 from r120. It went smoothly no hiccups at all
However, there were 3 modules I didn't update as I have a question about it.
I was trying to figure out how the update function actually worked. I add the new bin it accepts it then flashes the new firmware while keeping the same settings. This is wonderful but would it keep extra plugins?
let me clarify I have 4 H-801 devices and they run r137 with the extra milight plugin compiled in them. If I flash it with r147 that does NOT have the plugin will it remove that plugin after the flash is complete? or will it keep the plugin and the settings?
I would like to update them but I had a ton of trouble compiling the extra milight plugin onto it so id like to not go through that headache again.
