Sonoff with ESP8265 (8285 really)

#1 Post by magloman » 20 Aug 2017, 18:58

Hi

Anyone have a compiled code for these Little bastards?

They only work with sketches if I choose 8265 in arduino IDE.
If I download the mega 2.0 I cannot choose 8265, I suppose it Thinks it is 8266.

Or some walkthrough how to compile the code inside the IDE for 8265

I am pretty sure it's 8285 not 8265. It's an esp 8266 with 1mbyte flash onchip( instead o external flash). I you download the source you should be able to compile for it.

it could be my brain which is overcooked and ready :-)

I had to choose another chip in the IDE for it to work and it might have been 8285... I will check that in a few hours and get back...
