Low Trigger relay 5 V with ESP01
Hi
just wondering if a low level trigger relay will work.
I did not manage it.
Having powered the esp-01 with 3.3v
buck converter 220- 3.3V
powering the relay with a boost, 3,3 to 5V.
But I do not manage to get a high to close the relay
Do I need a logic converter 3 to 5 v to control relay?
did I miss anything?
thanks T

Re: Low Trigger relay 5 V with ESP01
driving the relay directly might be difficult for the ESP, as they draw too much current for the ESP.
Either use a transistor (easy) or optocoupler (also easy)

Re: Low Trigger relay 5 V with ESP01
actually I need to pull the gpio low, but command gpio,0,0 is not pulling low
Do I need to add a resistor ? but where?
thanks

Yet another wiki article that probably gets read by far too little people. Great work!

Yet another wiki article that probably gets read by far too little people. @ Shardan, assuming that you are the one who created the wiki page; there are now three pages on relays. I just linked the "actutor" one to your "basic" one. There is another one under "Hardware tips and tricks". I think they should all be merged into one page, thus increasing the liklyhood of people actually finding and reading it. What do you think

I've talked about this with grovkillen already.toffel969 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2018, 13:40Yet another wiki article that probably gets read by far too little people. @ Shardan, assuming that you are the one who created the wiki page; there are now three pages on relays. I've created a page for cumulating all the basics, howtos, listings etc so we get one place for all this usefull stuff.
It is massively "work in progress" atm, far away from being complete and it's still not linked to the mainpage.
We were thinking about placing a link in the header of the mainpage.
Maybe take a look: https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/inde ... _&_Howto's
What do you think? Any suggestion is welcome.

Looks great, I am just a bit worried that people don't find it (and keep on asking the same questions in the forum over and over and over again). Reading this should reduce the pain to be endured when starting with ESP and ESP Easy a lot. Maybe we can get a sticky post or something in the forum to point people towards this.

I'll look over it and search the forum for some howto's or listings i might have missed and add them... I'll miss some anyways.
So if anybody finds something i've missed please message me so i can add it. Then I'll create a link in the head banner of the main page.
A sticky post in the forum will be helpfull anyways, maybe one of the forum admins can do that.
Call me a cynic: I'm quite sure the questions in the forum will go on. It is so much easier to write a question
then reading a howto.......
