Hi,
I'm trying to get my BME280 THP sensor values displayed on an LCD. I've tried using the GlobalSync config but no longer appears to be working. So, to get around this, I'm now trying to use the sensor values (attached to the E12 sonoff/tasmota device) sending sensor values via MQTT to my ESPEasy device (build mega-20180324) connected to my LCD. The MQTT data (topic looks good and pretty sure it's a numeric as opposed to to a string) when viewing the topics via MQTT.fx client.
The problem is that my sensor values in my MQTT Import device are zeros so assume that I've not configured something somewhere. ...and need some help in getting this resolved.
I've attached a few screen-shots with my current config...

That message/payload is sent in JSON format. MQTT import doesn't parse JSON. You need to have ute sent on a separate topic and only send pure values (i.e. float numerical values) as payload.

Is the solution then to replace the sonoff-tasmota by a ESPeasy conncted to the BME280 so that it's another ESPEasy device sending the MQTT topic?
I've just answered my own question, and yes, you can. It works wonderfully. Wish I'd known about MQTT import before trying out some alternative platforms.

That would be helpful yes. In the future we might be able to come to a inter-system-solution which lets Tasmota and ESP Easy directly exchange data but for now we have not a standard formulation of the data being sent.

Thanks. As per my updated previous post, I've managed to get it working with an ESPeasy device on both ends of the link.
Really nice solution.
