Hi all,
I'm working on a device that will monitor the ground moisture and pilot sprinklers.
I'm planning to have 4 sensors (https://www.amazon.com/Gikfun-Capacitiv ... ial&sr=8-1) with a pcf8591 (https://www.amazon.com/KOOBOOK-PCF8591- ... 081&sr=8-1) to expand the numbers of analog inputs on the esp8266.
The sensors seems fine when plugged directly on A0 (tested with a glass of water).
However when plugged on the pcf8591, I don't get any results back. I tested the inputs with the gnd and 3.3v and get consistent results.
Does anyone see what's wrong with my project ?
Thanks

Re: 4 capacitice moisture sensor with a PCF8591
No experience with your boards, but did observe that you will need to remove the three jumpers on the PCF8591. Have you done that?
Also, when using the PCF8591, are the output voltages of the moisture sensors the same as when directly connected to A0)? That is to say, are the sensors' output voltages affected by the PCF8591?

Re: 4 capacitice moisture sensor with a PCF8591
I kept the jumpers.
I will test tonight and keep you informed.
Thanks
