EspEasy MP3 confused
I like to play MP3's using the YX5300.
The more I search, the more I get confused.
Can someone please tell me what ESPEASY release I must flash to my Wemos (ESP8266)
.And what version I have to flash? Exact name of .BIN inside the ZIP please.
I read about compiling plugins. Never did that.
Do I need the SD Card module or can I do it from internal memory too?

Re: EspEasy MP3 confused
Which ESP board are you using?
The YX5300 needs it's own SD card. I had problems with certain models, so make sure that part works before you troubleshoot elsewhere.

Re: EspEasy MP3 confused
Hello everybody,
I am confused, too.
I really would like to play mp3 Files stored on the SD Card, like Door Bell, Fire alert, pre defined notifys and so on.
In the wiki https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/index.php/MP3_player there is written:
And here is my problem: In the builds I tried until now, (ESP_Easy_mega_20200913_normal_ESP8266_4M1M, ESP_Easy_mega-20191208_normal_ESP8266_4M1M) there is no "Notify" configured.
I am using ESP8266 V3 Ch340 and ESP8266 D1 Mini. I also would have some 8266 V3 CP2102 or an ESP32 here, if they would work better. But until now my problem is, that there is just no "Notify" in the firmwares I used. I guess if there is any, it should directly be listed after "Motor". Or is it renamed in newer versions and the wiki is just not up to date?
Could anybody help me please?

Re: EspEasy MP3 confused
Ahh, just forgot: I would like to use the YX5300 module (that one I tried until noe).
If only the DRPlayer Mini (DFR0299/YX5200) would work, this also would be ok for me.
Until now I just connected the YX5300 to my ESP like this:
VCC --- Vin
G --- G
RX --- TX
TX --- RX
(I know, the tx is not sending any data to the ESP8266. I just startet and realised after plugging...)

Re: EspEasy MP3 confused
Plugin 065 (DRF0299) should be included in the "testing" build.
It should be listed as "Notify - DFPlayer-Mini MP3 [TESTING]" in the plugin list when adding a new task.

Re: EspEasy MP3 confused
Thank you, it just worked.

See here for the latest builds: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEasy/releases
For example the ESPEasy_ESP82xx_mega-20201102.zip file.
In there (in the bin dir) you have files like this one: ESP_Easy_mega_20201102_test_ESP8266_4M1M_VCC.bin
Wherever there is "test" in the name (others are "normal", "dev" and "custom") you should have the plugins included as described here: https://espeasy.readthedocs.io/en/lates ... lugin.html
