Hello,
I have buy 3 DHT22 ESP8266 module.
I have same problems on these modules.
After many hours of run, the value of DHT22 probe read by ESP is freeze. I have make some test, but nothing work :
- Disable the Serial port in Tools/Advanced
- Decrease the I2C speed
- The reboot the ESP with Web interface is not unlocking it
- The hard reset of ESP8266 is not unlocking it
- The unplug and plug the ESP of header block is not unlocking it
I must make a power-off and a power-on of the module and the measurement come back ... for some hours
Any Idea ?
The device page:
The domoticz measurement of three equipment who was started at same time:
Thank you
Seb

What exact .bin file do you have installed on the ESP?

Hello,
These ESP-shields do I als use, but a few of them have the same issue.
t is in my case a hardware-problem of the Powersupply-chip on the board.
Please check, with an ".bin" that has the VCC on it and then check the system-variable %vcc%.
In my cases the result was that the VCC as about 3,6 V. The 8266 can only accept about max 3.5 V and then after some time working with an too high Voltage the 8266 freeses.
Also try to extend the Task - Interval from 2 seconds to at least 10 or even 30 Seconds. This also can freese the DHT22

DHTxx sensors tend to do this.
The DHT11 even more than the DHT22.
Just google on them.
For example the first hit when searching for "DHT22 freeze": https://discourse.nodered.org/t/dht22-f ... on/20174/2
