AI integration

#1 Post by mackowiakp » 06 Jun 2024, 03:06

Do you use AI to assist you in writing code? If so, which one? Is it worth buying access to, for example, Copilot?
I'm thinking about integrating AI with Platformio.
For example, AI (I use Gemini in the free version) is great for writing scripts for Home Assistant.

Nope and I plan on not doing so for as long as possible.
I do believe this will result in less understanding of what you're doing and it does open up a possibility of copyright infringement as you have no clue where the "generated" code comes from.

Especially for projects like these, where every byte in size counts, you should have a firm understanding of what's happening 'under the hood'.
Also there is quite a lot going on regarding code infringement, software patents and IP rights lawsuits, which I would like to stay away from as far as possible.
