out of the blue IDX set to 0

#1 Post by BartSr » 29 Jul 2024, 10:12

Hi!
I am using an esp together with inductive sensor for counting waterconsumption.
The esp is using domoticz - mqtt
Out of the blue device' IDX has been set to disabled and IDX 0.
Any suggestion what might have happen?

TIA

Hm, odd, there's no particular reason that should happen.

- What exact build is installed on the ESP?
- Do you have the P2P Controller enabled on this node, and also at 1 or more other nodes?

Hmm I cannot think of a way how the controller link of a task is affected by the p2p protocol.

Thanks for the info. I was asking about the P2P Controller, available in the Controllers tab, but as that doesn't seem to ring a bell, you are probably not using it ;)

(The only reason I could think of was that by saving a task on a unit with the P2P Controller enabled it could have updated a task with the same tasknumber on another unit, also having the P2P Controller active. But that would only be possible if that tasknumber is unused on the receiving unit, which it isn't. (Sorry for the probably confusing mind-boggle I had when reading your issue).)

Hm, strange, never seen that myself.
Can you upgrade (only) 1 of those units to the latest merged changes from this GH Actions run, to see if it still occurs? The code there is close to getting finalized for the next release.
