Hey guys. Just discovering the ESP8266 and ESPeasy and boy is it awesome! I'm using the ESP-01 with MQTT to OpenHab sending temperature and humidity from a DHT11 sensor.
Forgive me if this has been asked/published but I didn't find it. I'm wondering if there is a way to create a rule to check new reading versus last reading, compare the two, and only send the MQTT message if they are different. This would eliminate additional messages with the same readings. Also, is it possible to filter readings based on min/max thresholds? I sometimes see odd ball readings that are no where near what they should be and would like to be able to set lower and upper limits to discard these bogus readings.
Only broadcast Temp/Humidity when new value is different than last

sounds like an interesting FEATURE REQUEST for the developers ...
