Hello from Alabama

#1 Post by paulv888 » 13 Jul 2016, 23:39

Hi All,

Happy to be here, and glad I found you all.

I bought my first ESP's in 2014 with great dreams but little success. Trying to pick it back up last week I was excited to find the whole Arduino ESP8266 integration, which made things a lot easier. But having found ESPEasy now, I think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. :D I am looking forward to build my first real ESP - IoT sensor with it.

I been in HA for about 14years, started with the good old X10 stuff.

Wow! I don't believe it...finally a good ole southern boy! Welcome! I have been working with esp8266 and I love it. Very powerful hardware! I haven't played around with ESPEasy for awhile but let me know if you need some help. Here is a tutorial I put together over at OpenHAB:

Let me know if you need any help!

ESPEasy is very powerful. Check out Domoticz as HA server, plus RFLink as bridge to the RF world.
Once you have the HW set up, this is an extremely flexible approach to HA...
