Static IP config

Hi,

I need your help to setup a static IP on ESP01 (firmware R20).
DHCP is OK, but after set IP,GW and Subnet mask, and reboot, ESP no more accessible.
On terminal I can see IP (192.168.1.200), but neither config page, nor PING doesn't work.
Factory reset help me to use ESP again.
Any idea?

Are you sure 192.168.1.200 is outside the DHCP range of the router and nut in use by another device?

Use an IP scanner and check if the device is available or there is a double IP address.
Check also what DHCP gives as address the first time setup with the IP scanner.
Then use static that is one number higher and see if that works.
When you change the from DHCP to Static it can take around a minute before all works.
I found out this behaviour today while setting up two ESP 201 versions.

When you decide to give a device a fixed IP address, you have to make sure that address is outside the DHCP range of your router. That is not necessarily one number higher than the one provided by the DCHP server. for example, I changed the setup of my wifi router such that the DHCP range is from 192.168.0.100 ~ 192.168.0.200. The addresses above and below that range can be assigned as fixed IP addresses.

I run my router with DHCP pool set from 1 to 252.
When I assign a static IP address in my cases for ESP 8266 Domotica from 80 to 90 and for EASY ESP it works fine.
The reason why I say one higher then the DHCP given to the EASY ESP is purely to trouble shoot the problem and see if the unit then works.

If you use DHCP, then you can use the MAC add to set a static IP Add

I have changed DHCP range to 192.168.1.155- 192.168.1.255 .
After resetting Nodemcu dev board, IP was 192.168.1.156
On config page set:
IP: 192.168.1.111
GW:192.168.1.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Submit-Save-Reboot, but in Terminal setting :
System Info
IP Address : 0.0.0.0
Build : 20
Unit : 0
WifiSSID : -------
WifiKey : -----
Settings size : 1544
Free mem : 27024
WIFI : Starting AP Mode
WD : Uptime 0 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 24800

ESP not accessible anymore ........ Reset can help

Static Leasing not an option since I have got a new Modem/Router (D-link) from ISP, and there is no service like it was on my Linksys (DDWRT)
I spent almost a day to disable DHCP in ISP router, and use my old Linksys as DHCP router , but no success...
