#1 Post by Dylantje » 16 Dec 2016, 23:24

Dombo question...
I use a relay board.
Only is there perhaps a option to dim the light that is on this board?? [ channel ]
In my eyes.. when the board have contact set the power on the pin @ 50% ....:-)
And that with a http:// command....

Or a better solution?

Hi,

if I understand what you mean, you want to use a (second) relay to dim the light, the first relay is used for on/off ?

You can do that easily, with a diode. The downside : it works only with incandescent lamps (not with fluo, and with led lamps, they may flicker, so you'll have to try...)
With the diode in serie, the lamp will glow at 50%, and when the (second) relay short the diode, you'll get full lighting.

PS: it's not a dumb question :D
ESPEasy running on ESP-12F self-made modules (with various sensors) and talking to Domoticz (hosted on RPi2)
