Dear all,

My esp is running in a place where i cannot simple reach him.
Only a strange problem.
a few days a go the esp stop sending his value to domoticz
He works for a few months..

I can see the webui so i did reboot the esp, no change
in the webui i see the value so the sensors are working.

I use a alarm in the esp, when i puss in domoticz the alarm button the alarm on the esp is reacting.

So the problem looks the DS and the hardware sensors in the esp.

Someone have a other solution for me.
Before i must go work for a 1 hour to get to the esp..

Check the log for http error. If you activated login for domoticz, the you can either exclude the esp IP adress from login in domoticz setting page, or Put credentials on th esp config page

I did power off the esp..[ lot of work ]
Now it is functioning ok....

Only strange that a reboot is not the same as a power off...

A warm reboot does not remove the voltage from the sensor.
A power disconnect , also called a cold reboot, forces your sensor to also reboot.
I experienced one-wire sensors too crash sometimes, stop sending values and just worked again after a cold reboot.

Maybe it is because these sensors like to work with voltages of 3.3 to 5 volt.
When feeding the sensor from the ESP module the voltage may be slightly lower than 3.3V or noise/dips may go below 3.3V.
A solution might be to connect the one-wire pullup resistor to an unused pin of ESP that is continually made HIGH. When your sensor stops working you can make the pin low temporary with a http command. Or probably during a warm_reboot this pin will automatically be made low temporary causing a reset of the sensor.
