Feature suggested - send Time Stamp value as well

Hi,

while sampling values from sensors or just sending an event of GPIO status change to an MQTT Topic would be nice to have a "compain" topic with the TimeStamp of the last event.

Eventually even sending those messages with "retain" flag.

In this way from an app i could see the last values of a sample and WHEN it was sampled! Just to understand if this is an OLD sample or if it is recent...

As far as I know the broker keep track of the last timestamp of each topic when received, why you want to have redundant information sent along?

How can i get this information from the broker? as Topic i mean, i would like to be able to display that info as topic....

If you put %syshour%%sysmin%%syssec% etc in the topic you will have a more advanced receiver on the other side since the topic will be different from each publish.
