Hello everyone.
I need help. I have installed a Sonoff basic in a 2 way switching setup.
I can switch the light on/off over http, but when I use the physical switch, the Sonoff flicks on and off.
I found a video on YouTube which explained the wording setup
I took a snapshot and attached it.
I have 2 switch input devices, relay and button
I also have this rule:
on Button#Switch do
if [Relay#Switch]=0
gpio,12,1
else
gpio,12,0
endif
endon
Help please.....
Sups

Re: 2 way switching with Sonoff basic
It helps if you give us all the information regarding the ESP Easy settings.
I suspect you use a latching switch? Or are they momentary?

Re: 2 way switching with Sonoff basic
Hi
Yes, both switches are the latching (toggle) type and I've attached screenshots of the device settings.
I've had a bit more of a play and the symtoms are strange.
The light turns on/off just fine via http,
The light turn on/off just fine using the main switch (switch closest to the light)
The light starts to flicker when I use the secondary switch.
I opened up the main switch and checked the continuity with a multimeter when the light was on. Continuity showed up fine, then I toggled the secondary switch and the light started to flicker...when I send back to the main switch and put the multimeter prong on the terminals, the light stoped flickering, again when I removed the multimeter the flickering started again.
Weird...
Anyone any thoughts?

Re: 2 way switching with Sonoff basic
After much reading, I found that I had to add a resistor between 3.3v and GPIO14, I soldered in a 4.7k resistor, and now all seems to be working perfectly.
