Hi Guys,
i want to use the esp easy devices in a enviroment where power might be an issue.
For that i dont wat to have extra routers and accespoints.
I just want 1 esp device that acts also as a wifi acces point so the iphone can be connected.
That iphone will send the http commands to the esp devices.
i cannot find in the espeasy software such a function or am i over looking it ?
any thoughts ?

Re: ASP easy as accespoint
Not really in the current scoop but we do plan to have some kind of mesh network communication for future releases.

Re: ASP easy as accespoint
I need no mesh network.
Just connection between my iphone esp device and laptop.
The esp device will be action as accespoint and also capabilities to set a relais reading a sensor.
Basically add softaccespoint to the easpeasy for the esp32 ill think.

Re: ASP easy as accespoint
If you did not setup wifi settings, than ESPEasy starts in softAP mode, it is default behaviour. It can be accessed at 192.168.4.1 if you connect the "ESPEasy-0" AP with "configesp" password or whatever name you gave to it. I think all functions can be used in this AP mode.
Re: ASP easy as accespoint
The AP mode will be disabled as soon as wifi connection has been made to a normal accesspoint.
The ESP will get significantly more hot when AP is on. (not too hot to touch, but noticeable warmer)
