The company I work for, just moved to a new location and many feel that the Air Quality isn't that great. I'd like to measure it in multiple areas and log the results on e.g. Thingspeak. But which (ready / almost ready) sensor should I choose? I assume it should measure:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- CO2
- VOC?
- Perhaps sound/noise level
Temp/Hum can be a lot, like BME280.
Just make sure the BME280 doesn't heat up when placed in a confined space along with the ESP and other sensors or else you will have an offset in temperature and thus also a humidity value which is reported too low.
VOC is IMHO totally useless, so don't bother using it.
CO2 I would suggest the SenseAir S8 or the MH-Z19, with a preference for the SenseAir as that one does have a longer ABC period and has proven to be more reliable over longer time.
Sound/noise level is quite hard to measure as you need to monitor it continously and it is also hard to calibrate.
