Hi
just want to understand debugging options ....
while having a temp sensor attachted to the ESP01s it worked fine.
Now I placed it into a box and mounted it, - no easy access - it crashes and I have to unplug the power to reboot.
Syslog is not showing a problem
last entry: Unit: 174 : WD : Uptime 35 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 24848
Load is not high:
Load: 22% (LC=25738)
any hints for this approach?
Thanks T

Re: Debugging crashes
Power supply? Placed in some box where WiFi reception is poor?
The pins used by the temp sensor have no pull-up resistors active and acts as some kind of antenna?

Re: Debugging crashes
Hi TD-er,
thanks for the hints,
checked them.
power is providing 400 mA, should be sufficient.
I can not get a value out from system info : Input VCC...
after reboot it reconnects to wifi perfect
it is close to the router.
signal is always around:
Wifi RSSI: -66 dB
Resistor is used for temp sensor ds18b20

Re: Debugging crashes
I doubt. During WiFi activity the ESP is power hungry.power is providing 400 mA, should be sufficient.
The Wiki:

If you want to use a USB charger as a power supply, make sure it has a CE marking and delivers enough current. 1 Ampere is the least.
30+ ESP units for production and test. Ranging from control of heating equipment, flow sensing, floor temp sensing, energy calculation, floor thermostat, water usage, to an interactive "fun box" for my grandson. Mainly Wemos D1.

Re: Debugging crashes
You could add some elco over the 3V3 line to shave off the peak current.

Re: Debugging crashes
Thanks TD,
looks it is a heat problem of the buck converter.
getting to warm in the box
