Hardware Support Request
Hello,
Would it be possible to support the HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor and the INA219 DC Current sensor boards please?

Re: Hardware Support Request
The HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor is already supported because it actually works like a switch.
The I2C INA219 board would be usefull to measure DC-currents. I support the request.

Re: Hardware Support Request
Thanks for letting me know about the HC-SR501. Might be handy to add it to the wiki?costo wrote:The HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor is already supported because it actually works like a switch.

I'm planning on using the INA219 board to know when my milights are actually on as they don't provide feedback.

Re: Hardware Support Request
found out that the HC-SR501 is not that stable if used on 3.3V (I think it's restarting each 10sec).
Working well if VCC is getting 5V.

Located in Belgium, Bruges. Working on a full DIY domoticz setup with ESPEasy.
Re: Hardware Support Request
The HC-SR501 needs 5Volt, as there is a regulator on board
But you could connect 3.3V after this regulator, then it works
Another problem i realized:
If you put both the HC-SR501 and the ESP in an enclosure where they sit behind each other, you get distortions,, it won´t work

Re: Hardware Support Request
I've ordered one of those INA219 boards from China. Will see what we can do when it arrives...jay_s_uk wrote:Hello,

Looking forward to playing with it
Re: Hardware Support Request
@Martinus Got my INA219 in the post if theres anything you want me to do with it whilst waiting for yours?
Re: Hardware Support Request
You could download R66 from github, it has the first INA219 plugin release:
But it seems to work.
I only have a small LED attached to 5 volts USB power, so the current reading is not very impressive...But it seems to work.
Re: Hardware Support Request
Have tried it with my LED strips and it all works fine.
Thanks again
Edit****
I had to change the address in the plugin as it was conflicting with another device.
The INA219 has 4 different available addresses, 40, 41, 44 and 45.
Would it be possible to add this to the devices page? That way I can use the OTA function without having to edit the file before hand.
Thanks again
