the 5-pin header is in the right top of the schematic:
1 - Vcc 3.3V
2 - TX
3 - RX
4 - Gnd
5 - SCL = pin9 of ESP8266 which is GPIO14

So the first 4 are the same as on the 4-pin Sonoff , there is just an extra GPIO added
and yes I assume the square is pin 1 which is 3.3V. ( I do not own a sonoff like this)
Just measure with a voltmeter between pin 1 and pin 4 for 3.3V when AC is connected ( carefull !)

Just finished the first flash successfully. Used the flashtool, held black button down, plugged in, flashed. Just heard the sweet sound of the relay clicking as domoticz turned it on

just flashed my Slampher too!! Awesome!!!! Thanks to Peter Scargill's blog and an invaluable tip from Alberto Avina I managed to put it in flash mode and flashed it. I'm about to order 10 more slamphers and sonoffs! LOVING THIS!

define new device type switch... (i got old sonoff with 4pins) and soldered external switch on/off to small switch onboard (it is just push),..

Great news! Thanks for enquiring. I have about 10 of the Sonoff's around the house with ESPEasy on and they are great. Would replace a few of them with this device to tidy up cables, etc.

I have multiple 5 pins Sonoff ESP..
I used 3 different USB ttl..
No succes with the flash tool.
I try R78 and R108..
Where do i go wrong?
I can flash a nuc..
Only this Sonoff is a little different.
I think i go wrong with the pins..
I try to change them.. no succes

Some one have a good working picture with the good 5 pins..?
What is the version that i need. 512/1024 or 4096

Check out post by costo few posts back. It is perfectly clear from his explanation.
The pin with the square (first/left) is 3.3, then TX, RX, GND. You can ignore the fifth PIN for flashing. Make sure you got the right drivers for your USB2TTL, set everything up, push & hold the black button on your sonoff and THEN plug the whole thing into your USB. Done this successfully with 3 Sonoffs now using the Arduino IDE AND the flashtool.cmd.

You can try to swapping TX and RX. There should be no risk of damaging the device as long as you don't swap 3.3...
Yes, you go with 1024. If you're compiling your own bin file, I went with 128k SPIFFS and 64 with some of my itead devices (and successfully performed OTA afterwards on all devices)
Hold the black button just a few sec after you plug in the whole thing. ESP should see GPIO pulled to the ground and will start in flash mode (should stay until power cycle) so no need to hold continuously.

When I flash mine the only thing that gave me trouble was to mas sure to hold the button and then plug the whole rig in my PC's USB. And on the first go I had to swap TX and RX, but it was mostly coz they were plugged in incorrectly in the first place

Try reinstalling the driver on your FTDI. I did that just to make sure. I think it's the Sililabs driver for 1232...depending on your FTDI chip. http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm

Got the same problem with pir's.
Tried everything but it appears to be some interreference with wifi -> pir.

Got some radar sensors ordered, they appear to be more precise and pretty cheap also.

maybe try another GPIO?
didnt get it before: do you power the PIR with 3.3V or with 5V.
i have a wemos board, and i power the PIR with 5V. a far as i remember, i had unreliable workings of my pir on 3.3V.
maybe check this to?
and maybe exhange the pir with some other, or point it towards another direction?

besides: with my normal radar-sensor i got an interrupt, i someone is behind a thin wall, the radar goes through it....
(and, would it be easier to jump over with this in another thread with a hitting title?)

I played with these PIRs and found them too fidgety...just quite hard to tune in properly. Maybe look for a more expensive one, or at least borrow one for testing...

Successfully flashed EASY ESP configured all the WLAN settings. Configured as an openhab MQTT. And that's it...
How do i put the relay to MQTT?

Another question is on controlling the relay with button.

I have defined Button as gpio-13 normal switch with pull-up activated.
In the rules i put the following

It works. The relay switches on. But only for 5 seconds. Than it goes off! What did i miss?

The sonoff has no sensor for measuring the output wattage.
But you can estimate it with calculating the wattage and the switched on time.

For example, a light bulb takes 20W while switched on. The swtich-on and off timings you have ready. Maybe this is a shorthand solution. Does not work for a washing machine that takes different amounts depending what it has to do.

I've had a good look at this device and am quite happy with the quality of construction for such a low cost offering.
As a convert from electrical engineering, through semiconductor work and into software, it's as decently constructed as the great majority of cheap devices.

A couple of points though, depending on where you want to put it:
The case is ABS and pretty flame resistant. The lid is poorly fixed and just un-clips. I would recommend gluing or a mechanical restraint (cable ties?) to prevent easy access.
Several devices have had badly soldered screw terminals. It looks like not enough heat was applied to fix the terminal pins. Best to resolder them before use.
The LED is pathetically dim, It can be useful driven as gpio13 for the WiFi indicator be is only visible in the dark!
The button connects to gpio0 and it would be useful to code a reboot facility to this, maybe a 'rule', I will have a go.

I have connected a DS18b20, a fully insulated and isolated variant to RX, having turned off serial support in ESPEasy, Tools, Advanced.
Also made a connection out to drive an SSR using TX by driving low and having the other side to VCC.
Both devices need pull-up resistors, I use 3K7.

This allows me to drive much heavier devices through the 40A SSR and leaves the internal relay free for light loads.

Next up is to add a current sensor. I would like to know how much power the Sonoff is delivering and would be useful to know when a connected device has 'finished'. If connected to a washing machine, water heater or similar machine that will eventually finish then I can see that and go and hang out the washing of take a bath!
I've ordered some ACS758 devices and there are plenty of code snippets to measure AC current from them. I'm hoping the it will fit inside the case by cutting into the unswitched tracks on the PCB. I will let you know and post some pics.

That's a pitty that this wonderful switch does not send current output.

@daxkamala : I really don't think that a ACS758 device will enter in the Sonoff box.
I added a DHT22 sensor (outside the box) and the wires need to be shorten to close the box correctly...

I have this thing at home :

Just try it, someone should be the first .
If it fails you can always re-flash the device over the Rx/Tx pins with ESPEasy.
After that ESPEasy-OTA will very likely be possible, it depends on the flash size, older ESP modules have only 512kB of memory which makes ESPEasy-OTA impossible.

I flashed two Sonoff TH lately with R123 and I found that operating them with Safari (Mac OS) didn't work well: 9/10 times when I hit Confirm, I get a broken link. Chrome didn't have that issue (I switched this morning).

I have a few NodeMCU lying around with R120 and I didn't have that issue

Same here with R124.
The webserver seems very unstable on sonoff

Maybe this happens because sonoff only have 1M of flash memory, and with newest versions of Espeasy is not enough memory and turn it unstable in the sonoff device?

I wrote mail to itead company, and they confirm that their device with esp8266 only have 1M of flash memory.

Perhaps it is something to do with the difference between Safari and Chrome and how they function... To test if it is a size problem you could probably compile a version without the plugins you do not need. No reason to have the plugins for OLED and LCD if you do not have a display. I don't know how it would translate to the size of the compiled image, but the plugins are about 25% of the total size in the un-compiled software.

I'm having the same issue here. The sonoff does not display the webpage 9 times out of 10 (tried chrome and IE and both have the problem).
It does not seem to be a network problem since when I press the physical button on the Sonoff, Domoticz is updated in real time with the on/off status change despite the sonoff being unable to display the webpages in the same interval of time.

This is extreamly frustrating as it makes it impossible to configure the Sonoff since each time I change a value the submit goes to a page not found. If anyone as a work around to configure the esp easy on the sonoff I'm listening

Are you ussing global sync over UDP?

I've 3 sonoff workign without lag problem.

I have disable serial log, weblog and udp log.

I have a 5 pins version with R120 from the website. Not using UDP or anything special. I've tried disabling the logs but doesn't seem to help much. I've tested some more and I am loosing commands too so it seems to be the sonoff loosing wifi connection, but I am in a spot where wifi coverage is very good...
Will try with a second sonoff to see if I have more luck.

In my case, it works a lot better when powered by the pins, not mains. Don't know why.

I gave up and use R109 for now
